Shamel Addas

About

Shamel Addas is Associate Dean of Research and Associate Professor of Digital Technology at the Smith School of Business, Queen's University, and Visiting Professor at IÉSEG School of Management in France. His research examines how people interact with artificial intelligence and information technologies at work, including the use of generative AI in knowledge work, and he teaches AI for leaders in Queen's MBA and executive programs. As a mentor, he is glad to work with students on the behavioural questions that sit alongside the code: how to apply AI and data skills to real organizational problems, how to frame and carry out a research or graduation project, how to prepare for graduate study, and how to build a career direction in technology.
