Description
Blue Health Intelligence runs preventive health checks in Amsterdam. In about an hour they collect hundreds of data points per person (blood markers, ECG, body composition, vital signs and questionnaires), and doctors turn the results into a personal health report.
Their analytics setup is already in place: PostgreSQL, dbt, Metabase, a data catalog and an AI analytics assistant. Your job is to turn it into analytics the team relies on: answer real questions from colleagues, build tested data models and dashboards, and measure how accurate the AI assistant really is.
The project runs for 2 months and may extend to months 3 and 4, possibly including research on their health data. You'll report to the CTO, your code goes through review, and you'll work with de-identified data in a restricted environment, never raw production data.
Responsibilities
• Work with colleagues to understand what they need to know or decide, then dig into the data: bookings, conversion, rebooking, cancellations, clinic capacity and patient flow
• Check data quality and edge cases, and explain every answer with its method and limitations
• Turn recurring needs into tested, documented dbt models
• Build Metabase dashboards and reports, and improve them with feedback from the people who use them
• Test the AI analytics assistant on real business questions: write checked reference answers, score it, improve the models or docs behind its mistakes, and test again
• Document what you learn about the data so someone else can maintain and extend your work
Requirements
• Strong SQL and data-modelling skills
• Python and a working knowledge of statistics
• Careful about checking results and explaining their limitations
• Clear written English
• Comfortable investigating unfamiliar data and asking precise questions
• Handles sensitive information responsibly
Nice to have: dbt, Metabase or another BI tool, LLM evaluation, health data, or privacy-preserving analytics.
